The Beat Bunker festival venue in the East Sussex countryside

Previous events

  1. A packed dancefloor crowd at Beat Bunker 2025 in Bodiam.

    Bodiam

    July 2025

We returned to Bodiam for our biggest event yet. The legendary Grant Nelson graced the decks on Saturday night for a 2-hour set that was full of bangers, and a surprise silent disco allowed us to extend the musical proceedings until 1am.

    • Beat Bunker 2024, the 10th anniversary weekend in Bodiam.
    • Two festival-goers enjoying Beat Bunker 2024.

    Bodiam

    September 2024

It was our 10th anniversary and the first one back after a long break. A new venue that did not disappoint. We didn't book a headliner. Instead, we brought a line-up packed with local talent with diverse styles.

  2. Beat Bunker 2019, the final year in Malvern.

    Malvern

    June 2019

We were excited to be having Rocco grace the decks, until his flight got cancelled, but Martin from Get Down Edits kept us entertained. Unbeknownst to us, this would be our final year in Malvern. Little did we know what 2020 would have in store for not only us, but the entire world.

  3. A sun-drenched Beat Bunker 2018 in Malvern.

    Malvern

    June 2018

We returned to our beautiful new home in Malvern, for one of the hottest Beat Bunkers on record. Groove Assassin headlined, alongside plenty of other recognisable names like The Journey Men, DJ Schooly, and Pat Bedeau.

  4. Malvern

    June 2017

Set in the rolling Malvern Hills, this one had a special energy. We had a giant geodome, booked Sean McCabe and Malachi, and kicked things off with a Friday night acid house party (well, at least the dress code was). Still one of the standout editions.

  5. Beat Bunker 2016 in Reading.

    Reading

    June 2016

The year that disaster struck. Days before the event was due to take place, we discovered that our beloved inflatable and its truss work had been stolen. We had no choice but to cancel the event, wondering if it would ever happen again. The dome was later recovered, but the truss work was never to be seen again.

  6. Reading

    June 2015

We booked Atjazz and Julian Gomes, alongside loads of local DJ talent. They brought serious energy and a fresh sound to the Beat Bunker that year. The music was evolving, but we still had the soulful sound we started with.

    • The farmer's field that hosted the first Beat Bunker in 2014.
    • The steel-framed geodome that became the Beat Bunker.
    • Festival-goers racing on space hoppers in the summer sun.
    • The Beat Bunker venue field at the first weekender.

    September 2014

The first year of the inflatable dome. Our own little world. We grew that year, booking Sean McCabe alongside loads of local talent. We all looked a little more fresh-faced back then too.
